We all know that timeshare companies insist they’re cost efficient. After all, you pay a one-time fee up front, and then a yearly fee, and you always have a vacation spot secured. If you keep your timeshare, the longer you use it, the less each vacation costs! And sure, special assessments may pop up – but it all evens out, right?

The discounts you get through vacation clubs often exceed the so-called discount you get with your timeshare.

Not up for another club? Then start hunting for bargains. With the wide expanse of the internet at your fingertips you have access to unheard of bargains for every place and trip. A little practice and patience goes a long way when it comes to finding the best of deals. Friends and family are also great resources to finding great bargains.

There are hundreds of tips and tricks to getting a cheap vacation, but buying a timeshare isn’t one of them. Unless you’re looking to wreck your credit, steer clear of the timeshare trap.
